Delectable, flaky and absolutely delicious in taste, these creamcheese cookies are definitely worth a try. The rich combination of butter and cream cheese makes these cookies positively drool worthy. These are addictive, irresistible and delightful, besides these are quite simple to make too. They contain vanilla and hint of almond essence which makes it really tasty

I had prepared these cookies originally with egg 3 years ago, it had absolutely melt in mouth taste. During this pandemic, I decided to prepare them again but without egg. I have tried to replicate the same taste with egg-less cookies . Do not over bake these cookies else you would lose the soft flaky taste of these cookies

*Add 1 egg to the recipe if you want complete melt in mouth taste. Adding almonds extract is optional but it adds the oomph to these cookies

**Adjust sweetness to your taste. Castor sugar is best for this recipe

***You can freeze the dough upto 2 months. Skip salt is using salted butter

***Do not add additional flour to the recipe, measure precisely. All ingredients must be at room temperature

Servings: 34-36 cookies


1 cup = 240 ml

  • 110 g soft unsalted butter
  • 110 g Cream cheese – room temperature
  • 3/4 cup – 1 cup Castor sugar – adjust
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1.5 cups + 1 tbsp APF
  • 3 tbsp Corn flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • Few drops of Almonds essence

Steps to prepare

  • Add butter in a bowl and blend well for 30 seconds
  • Add creamcheese and blend until well combined
  • Now add sugar and blend for 6-7 minutes.
  • Now add vanilla and almond extract and blend again
  • Sieve flours, baking powder and salt. Add to the cream cheese mixture and gently mix
  • Blend until it comes together to form smooth sticky dough
  • Cling wrap the dough and refrigerate for 2 hours or chill for 1 hour
  • Preheat the oven to 170 deg cel and line baking tray with parchment paper
  • Remove the cling wrap. Pinch small portion of the dough. Shape into round cookies
  • Gently flatten them and place on baking tray leaving gap between them. Do not flatten the cookies too much
  • Bake for 9-11 minutes until base is golden brown.
  • Do not over bake these cookies. Cool in the tray for 7-8 minutes
  • Cool on wire rack completely and store in airtight container
  • Munch on as desired these delectable cookies
