This is simple, easy to prepare and requires lesser time as compared to Meat biryanis so next time you want to prepare Biryani for party/family/occasions , then this is the Biryani you definitely need to try. This will surely satisfy the taste buds of your family/guests. This is cooked in dum (in it’s own juices) and tastes absolutely awesome

There are multiple variations to prepare this dish, sharing my family recipe here. I find it amazing in taste. You can use store brought or Home made biryani masala here, I will share home made recipe shortly. You can add biryani masala while cooking rice or sprinkle it towards the end. Alternatively whole spices can be used in cooking rice , since my kid dislikes biting into spices, I prefer using biryani masala. This dish tastes best with Raita and Salan. Enjoy!

*Since I have added slightly sour curd, I skipped lemon juice in marination, You can add 1.5 teaspoon lemon juice in marination

**It’s recommended to use large prawns, you can use medium sized prawns too. If you are in a hurry, just soak the rice for 30 minutes

***I have used semi thick curd so the timing mentioned to curd is based on it. If you have used thicker curd, then it will take lesser time to cook
