This is one of the most popular summer drink in Kerala. “Kulukki” means Shaken and “Sarbath” means juice in Malayalam so this is indeed a juice made by vigorously shaking the contents in a jar for 5-6 minutes. Now this also one of the most famous drinks served in juice stalls by street vendors. This summer refresh yourself with this sweet, spicy, salty and tangy invigorating drink

This drink can be made with lemon juice, pineapple juice, raw mango or Iramusu. Again within Kerala, each region has it’s own version of this drink. Some add ginger while some skip it. If you are making this drink for kids, then you can skip the green chili but otherwise I would recommend adding it. You would need to use jar with tight lid else you would end up spilling the drink

Besides vigorously shaking this drink, also helps in building arm muscles ūüėõ ūüėČ . The juice vendor generally adds squeezed lemon in the glass and then pours the drink, you can add in slice of lemon instead. Do not miss preparing this drink for indeed it is really different and refreshing
