For someone who can never tire of Cinnamon flavor like me, this delicious smoothie is for you. This is quite healthy, filling and one of the perfect breakfast smoothie

Dates are a source of antioxidants with low glycemic index. Bananas are good source of Vitamins, aids digestion and provides energy. Cinnamon is anti inflammatory, anti oxidant and aids metabolism. When these 3 are combined with yogurt and milk, you have one of the perfect healthy nutritional drink

Do try this smoothie and share your experience

Preparation time: 5 mins Servings: 1


  • 1 large ripe cold Banana, sliced
  • 3/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chilled skimmed plain/Almond/soy milk
  • 1/2 cup cold low fat Yogurt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract – optional
  • 5-6 dates, chopped

Steps to prepare

  • Add dates and banana in mixer/blender
  • Add milk, yogurt and cinnamon. You can add vanilla essence for additional taste
  • Blend all ingredients well in mixer/blender  until smooth.Add ice cubes if required, I prefer using cold ingredients to avoid dilution by ice cubes  
  • Pour in tall cold serving glass
  • Garnish with Cinnamon/Chia seeds and serve immediately. I have used chia seeds for garnishing
