One of the popular European breakfast includes omlette which can be served with various toppings along with toast. This is healthy, nutritious and easy to make. I had this omelet several times when I visited abroad and so decided to give this a try making at home and now this is one of my favorite easy quick breakfast dish

Preparation Time: 8 mins Cooking time: 10 mins Total time: 18 mins

Servings : 1


  • 2 eggs
  • 4-5 tbsp chopped mushrooms
  • 4 tbsp grated cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 tbsp onion finely chopped
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 3 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Steps to Cook

  • Saute 4-5 mushrooms, 1 tbsp onion in 1.5 tbsp hot oil till mushrooms brown. Switch off the heat
  • Add 4 tbsp grated cheese to fried mushroom
  • Whisk 2 eggs, salt, pepper, 1 tsp oregano, 2 tbsp milk in a bowl
  • Add parsley and whisk well
  • Pour whisked eggs into a hot greased non stick pan
  • Add mushroom-cheese mix towards one end, you can sprinkle additional cheese on top of required. cook till done, fold and remove
